The Eastside Montessori School provides a richly prepared educational environment where the innate abilities of the child unfold spontaneously, encouraging the development of the person within, allowing the child to achieve his greatest potential. The combination of this along with mixed-age classes of children 2 1/2 – 6 years old in the Primary Program, and 6 – 9 years old in the Elementary Program, provides the necessary social modeling to support all aspects of each child’s healthy development.
A love of life and learning follows naturally.
The beauty of Montessori education is its ability to work with the child, taking into account how children actually learn, allowing the child to fully prepare for their journey into society, and at the same time freeing him to fulfill his potential as an active contributing member of society.
We are an AMI/USA Associated School, a status that recognizes our commitment to the highest standards of Montessori education.
New Elementary Program Starting Fall 2013!We are very excited to be starting a new Elementary Program this Fall.
Two necessary aspects must occur to complete the formation of the human being: the development of the individual and the participation of the individual in a truly social life.
The curriculum is based on the elementary child’s need to understand the qualities of the Universe, hence the term Cosmic Education to describe what it is we give the elementary child.
